studiVZ: First place

In the "studiVZ Hochschul-Umfrage" (student body university survey) Bucerius Law School was once again able to uphold its reputation as Germanys best law school. Furthermore the student body has named it the best university in its faculty area in the whole German speaking region. Almost all 2.3 million students from Germany, Austria and German speaking Switzerland are registered with the social networking group studiVZ. Students were requested to fill out a questionnaire, in which among other things they had to evaluate their university.

In the categories facilities, studying conditions and practical relevance, Bucerius Law School was able to secure first place. Such results have also been demonstrated in past rankings. In the fourth category "Studying Location" the law school had to make do with second place behind the University of Bern. This was significantly influenced by the sub-category "Housing Market", due to the fact that there are less apartments vacant in Hamburg and in comparison the city has much higher rents. The law school was again able to secure the leading position in the two sub-categories "feel good aspect of the city" and "feel good aspect of the campus". This reflects the special flair that Germanys first private law school has, and which the students correspondingly reward.

The results of the survey and further details can be found in German at www.studivz.net/l/hochschulranking.
