10 Reasons to Choose the Bucerius Summer Programs
  1. Renowned professors and experienced practitioners from around the world provide you the theory and tools to exceed in your future.
  2. Improve your career chances! Bucerius international alumni score jobs in law firms and companies around the world, the foreign service or an NGO.
  3. Although other universities claim to have top-quality academics and student services, Bucerius Law School has the rankings to prove it!
  4. Bucerius Law School is characterized by its work hard, play hard attitude. You will need to invest significant time and efforts in studying, but this will be balanced by a plethora of opportunities to socialize, including grill parties, cultural excursions and evenings out on the town.
  5. Need quick information on the legal field in China? Mexico? South Africa? No problem! Fellow students from around the globe will challenge your perspectives during the program and extend your personal and professional networks in the future.
  6. The International Office and the rest of Bucerius faculty and staff are here to help you –for questions ranging from finding an apartment, applying for a visa or just where to get a haircut, we understand what it’s like to be in a foreign place and want to make you feel at home in your new home.
  7. The combination of a quaint campus located in the center of Germany’s second largest city offers comfort for everyone – familiar faces day-to-day, endless adventures to explore by night, and best of all, it’s all accessible by Hamburg’s efficient, safe public transportation system.
  8. Hamburg’s importance as an international port provides the benefits of a multicultural city: whether you are in the mood for a samba bar, Prasara yoga course, world-class fish restaurant or just a good ‘ol German beer and (veggie) Bratwurst, you won’t have to look far to find it.
  9. The city’s northern oceanic climate is mild and pleasant during the summer, with an average temperature of 18 - 20°C (64 - 68°F). Intermittent rainy days offer the perfect incentive to get cozy with your course readers in our state-of-the-art library.
  10. Sprechen Sie Deutsch? If you want to improve your German, your possibilities are endless. But if you’d rather stick to English, you will also get around just fine in Hamburg! Either way, you will be surprised at how friendly people on the street are when you ask for help.
