How to start a startup? Panel discussion

Many Bucerius Law School graduates have an entrepreneurial spirit. On October 6, 2016 four Bucerius alumni discussed their experience.

Entrepreneurship is an important topic at Bucerius Law School. Over the past years, an increasing number of Master of Law and Business students have been interested in starting their own companies. In addition to the lifecyle program structure, which allows students to explore the lifecyle of an enterprise from both the legal and the business side, the Master of Law and Business Program supports its students' entrepreneurial spirit by offering a Specialization in Entrepreneurship.

On October 6, 2016, the Bucerius Entrepreneurship Initiative, a group of students and alumni with a passion for starting their own enterprise or working in a business rather than a purely legal capacity, invited four successful graduates to offer insights into their experience as entrepreneurs.

Master of Law and Business Alumnus Ammad Ahmad '10 (Founder and MD at Atheneum Partners) joined a panel discussion with Dr. Fabian Heilemann (LLB Alumnus 2003, Partner at Early Bird Venture Capital), Mark Schmitz (LLB Alumnus 2004, General Partner at LAKESTAR - Venture Capital) and Nikolaus Thomale (LLB Alumnus 2006, Founder and MD at Patience.io & Jura Online, Berlin).

The event was moderated by Daniel Mattig, Head of the Bucerius Entrepreneurship Initiative.
