Professor Wirth from Boston College visits Bucerius

Bucerius Law School and Boston College have been working together since 2003 and, thanks to this cooperation, nearly 50 students have been able to participate in the exchange program between the universities and gain insight into the other respective jurisdiction. The successful partnership has recently been extended by an academic faculty exchange. We are incredibly pleased to welcome Professor David Wirth to Bucerius Law School. Professor Wirth works in the field of international law and international environmental law. He will spend several weeks researching at Bucerius and offer a course on "The USA and International Law" for the LL.B. students.

Already last spring, Professor Dr. Axel Jörn Kämmerer, Professor of Public Law, International and European Law at Bucerius Law School, was able to get to know the academic life and faculty members at Boston College. During his stay in Boston he also gave a lecture on Brexit.

Professor Dr. Katharina Boele-Woelki, Dean of Bucerius Law School, emphasizes the relevance of international knowledge transfer in teaching and research: "For years, our university has been developing sustainable collaborations with well-known universities worldwide that enable the exchange between teachers and students across borders. Working with Boston College is a prime example of our efforts to drive scientific networking."
