New York, Rio, Tokyo – if you thought international flair was reserved for the Bucerius programs drawing students from abroad, think again! Back on campus since January, the entering class of 2015 returned to Germany with travel logs chock-full of memories from their term spent across the globe.
Continuing the tradition established by students who’ve long since graduated, this year’s returnees will present their best moments from abroad in a photo exhibition. The white walls of the Coffee Lounge have been transformed into a palette of color that stirs feelings of wanderlust while sipping coffee. At the same time, the Clifford Chance International Office is hosting a competition to recognize the three most popular works in the exhibition: via a Facebook album, people have an opportunity to cast their vote over the coming weeks—on March 8th, likes will be tallied and the top photographers awarded for their keen eye and fast shutter fingers.
For many students, the compulsory term abroad is a highlight of the undergraduate program at Bucerius Law School. Each year from July through December, one class of students ventures into the world to spend a term at one of the 92 partner universities located in 33 countries. A wealth of intercultural experience and horizon-broadening moments, the time abroad enables students to gain insight into a different legal regime while contrasting their perspective on legal education.
The entering class of 2016 is already making their way to the starting blocks in preparing application materials for partner universities and making to-do lists for the coming months—the exhibition will no doubt stoke their excitement!
