Bucerius was proud to host 92 students from 59 partner universities in 26 countries for its unique program. The courses that were offered focused on international and comparative business law and varied from “Global Trends in Intellectual Property and Digital Media Law,” “Corporate Governance” and “International Commercial Arbitration” to “Comparative Corporate Bankruptcy Law.” Additionally, students were able to take part in several practice-oriented topics such as “Business Mediation,” “Transactional Drafting” and “Business Policy“ and earn a Certificate in Management and Leadership for Lawyers, which has been offered in cooperation with the Center on the Legal Profession since 2010.
A wide range of extracurricular activities in Hamburg and nearby towns helped students to explore German history and culture. In addition to museum visits and several tours though different districts of the city, an excursion to the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial and diverse social events were organized. A week-long study trip to Berlin formed a special highlight of the program.
