New Publications: "The Legal Situation of Non-Commercial Organizations under German and Russian Law"

A book presentation in Moscow

In September 2017 in the House of the Journalist in Moscow, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, in co-operation with the Chairman of the Human Rights Council of the Russian Federation, presented a study entitled "The Legal Situation of Non-Commercial Organizations under German and Russian Law".

Within the framework of this study, (former) teaching assistants Elias Bornemann and Dr Victor Klene, on behalf of Professor Birgit Weitemeyer and the Institute for Foundation Law and the Law of Non-Profit Organizations, participated in four scientific conferences and wrote the chapter on German association and non-profit law. Many participants in the conference – from the research sector and various NGOs – expressed their hope that the bilingual study, in German and Russian, would help to make better use of the potential of the third sector in Russia. With the presentation of the study, this three-year project comes to a successful conclusion.
