We have been following with horror and great concern the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas. Hamas has killed Israeli civilians, including entire families; Hamas terrorist groups have brutally murdered hundreds of young people who were celebrating a festival for peace; they have kidnapped people and continue to hold them hostage. Hamas is abusing the Palestinian population in Gaza for its own terrorist goals.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Israel in this situation of existential threat. We support the defense of the life and freedom of the people of Israel. To express our solidarity and support, the Israeli flag has been flying next to Ukraine's on our campus since this week.
Our thoughts and support are with the people of Israel, our graduates and our partners, and all university members who have lost or are deeply concerned about the wellbeing of family and friends.
