Second lecture in Prof. Schäfer's ring lecture "New Frontiers in Law and Economics"

Prof. Alon Harel of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem talks about the inconsistent efficiency in negligence disputes and how to reconcile it. He developed a theoretical framework explaining the significance of loss-gain framing in adjudicators’ inclination to assign liability based on efficiency considerations. A series of experiments support his hypothesis, whereby adjudicators accord greater weight to efficiency in a loss frame than in a gain frame.

No need to register. Just tune in!

The ring lecture takes places every Tuesday at 5.30 pm
