Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Construction and Operation of Offshore Wind Parks
A joint event by the Center for International Dispute Resolution and the Alumni group “Dispute Resolution”
Currently, over 20 German offshore wind parks exist in the North and Baltic Sea with the first one having been put into operation in 2010. During construction and operation of these cutting edge endeavours, it is not uncommon that disputes arise between the different stakeholders of the project, for example, between the operator and the turbine manufacturer or between the operator and the operations & maintenance provider. In order not to jeopardize the project, these disputes require a quick resolution. In this regard, various instruments of alternative dispute resolution are available, such as mediation, conciliation, DAB proceedings and arbitration.
A panel consisting of Almuth Vorndran (RWE), Dr. Jürgen Cloppenburg (SiemensGamesa), Jörn Hombeck (HANEFELD) and Prof. Stefan Leupertz (Leupertz Baukonfliktmanagement) will discuss their practical experiences with these instruments in offshore wind parks. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Karla Klasen (Osborne Clarke).Zurück
