In the presence of families and friends, faculty and staff, internship employers, members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the many foundations and institutions that support the Master of Law and Business program, 34 students from 23 countries, dressed in caps and gowns proudly received their Master’s Degree.
The keynote speaker was Christoph Semer, himself a graduate of the MLB program and now CEO of ‘Hellweg’ a large German DIY home improvement chain.
Special highlights of the ceremony included the awarding of several prizes; George Iremashvili from Georgia received a special award from for his extraordinary commitment to the social project "das georgische Kind". The "Best Teacher Award" in the category "Business" was presented to Professor Dr. Natalia Ribberink for her course in Strategic Management and to Professor Dr. Matthias Busse for his course in International Trade and Investment. Best teacher in the category of "Law" went to Dr. Carsten Jungmann for his course in Corporate Governance. In addition, the DAAD prize for outstanding achievements and excellent social service was awarded to Sanda Šabic from Slovenia.
The evening concluded with the enrolment of the Class of 2016: 52 new MLB students from 29 countries, followed by a reception in the foyer of the Auditorium.
