On Wednesday, 23 March 2016, the Dean of the Bucerius Law School Professor Dr. Dr. H. C. was mult. Katharina Boele-Woelki was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Antwerp.
The award, in appreciation of her academic merits, was presented by Professor Dr. Frederik Swennen, university lecturer in the Law of Persons and Family Law, from the law school of the University of Antwerp.
This is the third honorary doctorate that Katharina Boele – Woelki has received.In 2011 she received an honorary doctorate from Uppsala University and in 2015 one of the University of Lausanne.
Since October 2015, Katharina Boele-Woelki holds the position of Dean of the Bucerius Law School.
