MLB APPLICATION NUMBERS AT RECORD LEVEL

Months before this year’s application deadline for the Bucerius Master of Law and Business, the program is already seeing a 34% increase in applications.

Bucerius Law School's international master's program, Master of Law and Business (MLB), has seen a record high in applications despite the pandemic-related uncertainty among young people around the world. Already at the "Early Bird" application deadline (January 15, 2021) the program, which accepts around 50 young professionals each year, recorded a 34% increase in applications compared to last year.

TOP QUALITY OF APPLICATIONS

The MLB team welcomes the growing interest in its study program: "We are very pleased with the high number of applications – but what is even more decisive for us is the high quality of this year's applications. On average, the candidates achieved a higher evaluation score in the admission committee's assessment than in previous years," reports Maite Schewe, Marketing and Admissions Manager at MLB.

NEW INFORMATION AND INDIVIDUAL CONSULTING

“In recent months, we have invested in expanding our digital information formats," says Inga Diercks-Ferm, Assistant Director Recruiting and Admissions for the MLB program. "We also spend a lot of time on face-to-face student counseling, where we address and answer potential applicants' individual requirements and questions. We realize that the pandemic has caused enormous uncertainty among many prospective students. We try to give them as much planning security as possible and explain to them how we guarantee the quality of the study program, despite the enormous challenges. This personal contact is absolutely essential – now more than ever before.“
