The 11th edition took place Friday to Sunday, 14-16 November 2025
The Bucerius Mediation Competition by BODENHEIMER is an international mediation competition organised by students of Bucerius Law School every year since 2015.

Internationality
The competition is open to students from all around the world. It has taken place since 2015 and is steadily increasing in the number of participating teams and professionals. In 2025, 24 teams from 15 different countries will take part in the competition. The Competition is conducted in English entirely.
Experience
The competition is a great opportunity to practise and improve one‘s mediation skills and knowledge by taking part in several mediation sessions. It is also an excellent opportunity to prepare for other competitions, such as the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition in Paris or the IBA-VIAC Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition in Vienna.
Connections
The mediation sessions are facilitated and judged by dispute resolution professionals and people well-versed in mediation competition formats. Therefore, the competition is not only a great way for students to get to know each other but also to connect with people who possess a long-standing mediation and/or competition expertise.
