Biography
Tristan Rohner has held the Junior Professorship for Civil Law and Economic Law in the Digital Society since August 2024. He is also an associate researcher at SCiDA - Shaping Competition in the Digital Age and a habilitation candidate under Prof. Dr. Rupprecht Podszun at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. He was previously a research assistant there. He received his doctorate from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in 2022 with the thesis "Art. 102 AEUV und die Rolle der Ökonomie" (Article 102 TFEU and the Role of Economics), which won several awards.
Tristan Rohner studied law with additional training in economics in Bayreuth. He passed his first state examination in 2014. He completed his legal clerkship in Berlin and passed his second state examination in 2017. From 2020 to 2021, he was an assistant notary at the Rheinische Notarkammer.
Tristan Rohner is a Junior Member of ASCOLA (Academic Society for Competition Law), a member of the Gesellschaft Junge Zivilrechtswissenschaft e.V., a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Law, Market & Innovation (JLMI) and a member of the Academic Advisory Council of the Heine Law Review.
