How to apply
Students are admitted on a rolling admission basis and admission is offered on a space-available basis. Therefore, we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible, especially if you are planning to apply for a scholarship or if you need a visa to study in Germany.
The deadline for applicants who must apply for a study visa while in their home country is March 31, 2019.
The deadline for applicants who can apply for study visa after arriving in German on a visa waiver or who do not need a visa at all is May 15, 2019.
Please confirm with your local German embassy or consulate which visa regulations apply to you.
Important note: The early bird deadline to receive a €2,000 discount on your tuition fees is January 15 each year. This is also the deadline if you plan to apply for the prestigious Bucerius Global Scholarship.
Early Bird Discount
Submit your documents by January 15 and receive a tuition reduction of EUR 2,000.
Please note that, after admission, a non-refudable deposit on the tuition fee has to be paid in order to hold your place in the Master of Law and Business:
- Early deposit payment (made within six weeks of the admissions letter): €1,000
- Later deposit payment (made after eight weeks of the admissions letter): €2,000
You will usually be informed of the outcome of your application within six to eight weeks. After submitting your application, you may asked to schedule a personal or phone interview.

Applicants from China or Mongolia
In order to apply for an entry visa, you need to obtain the APS Certificate. This process can be begun before you submit your application to Bucerius Law School.
