From frontier models to A.I. agents — he highlights how generative AI, such as advanced language models, is revolutionizing legal research, contract drafting, and case analysis by producing human-like outputs with remarkable efficiency, while AI agents take this further by autonomously managing tasks like negotiation and compliance monitoring. Major legal questions still loom, however, including questions surrounding copyright, Pii among others. Professor Katz will also discuss his efforts to build a copyright clean LLM. In the legal sector, there is still a long way to go toward mass adoption and it is important that legal professionals responsibly adopt and oversee this rapidly evolving landscape of AI and autonomous agents.
