Together with Prof. Dr. Emanuela Carbonara (University of Bologna, Department of Economics) we will perform an in-depth analysis of 195 constitutional texts to single out the provisions that, by enhancing economic freedom in a country, are likely to create the institutional side of an entrepreneurial ecosystem favorable to new business creation. Analyzing the evolution of the so called ‘economic constitution’ over time and across continents, we try to establish whether the protection of economic rights impacts entrepreneurship, innovation and, ultimately, economic growth.
